Left hand or Right hand application?

TexomaPowerboater 11-25-2008 05:34 PM

Which one is left/right? If its a sit down boat I'd go with the one that is angled more too you (upper right hand corner) that way you arm doesn't have to extend out so much.

I believe it is a right hand / backwards slant / throttle - shifter. Trim button on throttle is operated by thumb. The right hand thumb would rest on the trim button. It would probably not work in a dash mounted position, but rather on a flat surface.

That's what I was thinking, I'm not sure it will work in my application. Most of the shifters I've seen is opposite of this, forward slant. I CAN take it apart and reverse it, but any ideas how to get the trim button out so I can put it on the opposite side of the shifter? No screws to hold it in...

you can order those with straight or angled front or back. so those would be a back angle right or I think you can just put in in back wards and be a left with front angle. but I don't think you can spin the handle around and move the trim nope. diamond marine has nicer ones that are colored and stainless steel shafts for 650. 00 and you can order it anyway you want. ISEEN MORE ANGLED ONES ON BOATS FROM THE 90S the way you have it set up. I am going with straight the sttaight ones myself in red.

Are you left handed or right handed:rolleyes:

Its a left hand forward cant or a right hand rear cant. It can be mounted either way. Personally, I wouldn't like it with the rear cant in a right hand application. Seems like it would be perfect for a Fountain with left hand controls on the dash.
