Difference was then, I was buying 30ish foot express cruisers, using them until they sold, then buying another one.

I saw that 500 boat count today as well!!!! I remember when they hit 200 the first time and we thought that was a big deal.

iknow the owner... and u have NO IDEA how many boats are comin in in the next 3-6 months... they dont have the storage space, repo capacity and personnel its gettin so big

thats why im hessitant to pull the trigger

Damn. As quick as I get bored with toys, that's kinda what I was thinking I need to be doing. I may have to watch that site a lot closer this winter.

Determine what your willing to pay......then it's a waiting game, kinda like playing the lottery. (they claim they turn all the bids into the banks every monday evening)

When gas started going up it got alot harder to make a buck on boats.....not sure if you could now either.

It was hard work but fun too. I kept a open-bow so that I'd always have something that ran if I wanted to get out on the water.

I'm still not sold. Yes a 20 year old apache or scarab might be awesome, but I've never seen an old cruiser I liked. The look and layouts get dated and the style never comes back like it does with the raceboats do.

Don't mean to sound like a pessimist. I hope you sell it and get solid coin for it. Good luck with the sale.

For what its worth, since we are talking cruisers, I am looking for a 26 sundancer without an arch (cannot lift one with arch under my boat slip roof.) Has to have Gen. and A/C. Anybody got one?
