ever degree dropped in intake air should be worth 1HP or about a 10% gain. The blower takes power to turn so its kind of a trade off. You could increase boost with the intercooler safely. Speed gain would depend on changes made to overdrive and timing.
Im thinking a extra 2-4 mph depending on which changes were made.

You can't put 6-8 #'s of boost to a 496. The pistons won't last.

I thought the 425 h.p. 496 (mag) had forged internals and 375 h.p. did not???

He didn't ask if the engines would last.

Negative. Further, you can bash me now for saying so but I guarantee you that if you puff a 496 you will live to regret it... That engine is not made for it. The pistons are very brittle on both, the 375& 425 models.

Also, you need to know if you have a steel crank or cast. If I remeber, they started with steel; went to cast; back to steel on some serial number range; and then went back to cast. It's a great, reliable engine but she don't like blowers for too long...

In all sincerity, I do wish you luck and I'd like to hear that you came back 2 seasons later and had no issues worth mentioning after running a blower on this motor.

take care,
jason
