Mercury Racing Recall Notification

Got a recall notification in the mail today from Mercury Racing. Their is a recall for Improper Overcurrent Protection on Starter solenoid and Alternator sense circuit. Service Bulletin #2008-5. It says to take it to your dealer and have a kit installed at no cost. Called Mercury racing customer service, thought it was just the 700 and 600 sci's but was told it includes the 525's as well. Anyone else got this notification?

This is a service bulletin for the 525's as well. The part is very easy to install.

And as Jassman stated, back order. Been waiting the 3-4 weeks as well.

Does this apply to all 525 motors? Or just certain years or serial numbers?

Yes on 525's. Got mine a few days ago.

I got a recall too for my 1075s which happen to be at Mercury Racing undergoing factory rebuilds. I wonder if they will correct it, since they are inhouse. I am going to check on it.
