first i have heard of that, from my ride in one it was a pretty big ride for a small boat and as a true deep vee it handled relatively big water well.

Definetly a first for me two! They did not build many of them and unless someone put big hp they were pretty stable and for its day fast but 50 mph is what they did and I can't see that being deadly even if you rolled. The 16ft Jersey Speed skiffs were more dangerous and they only ran 60 back then. If you had a boat in 1967 that ran better then 45 she was considered fast.
