I actually think the 28 was the front part of a 41 cut down,,because when u realy look at both ,,,mmmhhh pretty simular !
But i don't know, i do know a 41 does the same though.
Just look at the old warpath video on youtube !!!! Trip, almost stuff and starbord she goes.
Only thing saving her from spinning and flip over was BOB S and the hight and length of her.
Just my 2 c.

Of all the boats I've owned, Most, when put down into a wave will either stuff or dig in. AND that includes the 3 apache 41's and one apache 45... so I dissagree with you on this. It is because the entry is so blunt... When baja designed the boat it was done to make her dryer. The guys at baja never dreamed that the boat would be copied and the horse power doubled in some cases..

I know of no flaw with the 28 Apache have run several of them...Maybe Eric will chime in here but there is no flaw unless it's operator error the boat only does what you tell it to and is very forgiving when you tell it to do the wrong thing!!!!!! So what flaw are you talking about???

Absolutely nothing wrong....I can tell you first hand that the boat had a broken trim pump and they couldn't trim it and Bobby was setting the water on fire trying to catch up which they did but he didnt have the speed in the calm to keep up with Mr Roberts who won it that year and Steve Curtis was his throttleman......Bobby can verify what I said or collaborate my earlier post that the boat only does what you tell it to do if you phuk up it phuks up....

The following is a PM I just received so here you go enjoy it and savor it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No tabs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Re: Ocean Running Techniques
WHAT TABS?????
We had none!!! We discovered a electrical problem on the Team Apache Boat at the start of the race. That’s why we started 15 minutes late. We had a lot of time and water to make up… Every time I touch the trim tabs or the drives. The engines would lose power. Too much voltage needed to run all the trim motors with shorted batteries. So I set all the trims to a “happy medium general type setting” and told the crew to hold on baby!!! We are going for it..
Surprisingly we finished only of few seconds behind the first boat in spite of the spine and wound up in second place UIM world Champions 1985
Ahhh the good old days

Well maybe if you wouldn't have fallen out of the bolsters and yanked the kill switches he wouldn't of had a problem.....Did you ever think of that in order to run in rough water you cant lose your power let alone kill the boat entirely!!!!!!
