What happend to the price of gas???
Last Saturday (a week ago) I tanked up and paid $1.01 for regular.
This morning as I drove past a local 7-11 their price was $1.31 for regular.
What the F@%*!!
Thirty cents in one week!!?
Finally stopped at my usual Mobil station and paid $1.24.
Has OPEC put a strangle hold on us again?
I hate this!!

Paid $1.19 ten days ago and this morning $1.36..
The travel season's coming and the oil companies are getting greedier I guess.
I've always been amazed that when OPEC raises their per barrel price today our pump prices go up tomorrow. We all know the gas in that tank wasn't produced from yesterday's crude right ?
Conversely when the oil prices drop...it takes weeks to affect the pump prices !
Nice business economics !

This oil thing sucks! OPEC has reduced production this year and prices have risen 20% year to date. I agree, it is AMAZING how FAST prices goup but how SLOW they come down!

Shane brought up a good point.
The price of gas rises fsater than it drops.
I think it was ARCO that claimed a few years ago that they won't raise their price until the higher priced crude has been procesed and on it's way to the stations. If the price reduces in the meantime, they wouldn't change it at all.
That's the way it should be.
Just because OPEC raises the price today, doesn't mean that we pay a higher price tomorrow. That's price gouging on a grand scale.

Driving season Good grief, its only March We've got 3 months until the summer weather hits. Applying the same logic, does this mean they will lower the gas prices in July in anticipation of the fall/winter driving season
