Prayers needed for my father's quadruple bypass surgery today...
 

My dad started to feel a little chest pressure a few weeks ago after some intense racketball games so he decided to see his doctor, a miracle in itself.

Long story short, had his heart scoped yesterday, and he has 90% blockage in three of his arteries and 99% blockage in one.

The Cardiologist said that due to his being in pretty good physical shape with all the racketball and working out, his heart muscle hadn't been damaged yet. Not to mention that he's only 56. Apparently his awful diet and stress has caught up to him.

He's in surgery now and will be coming out shortly. Hopefully he's gonna be ok.

FWIW, my dad's also in pretty bad financial shape and is going to be down for a little while, so if you wanna donate him a few bucks or something for day to day necessities, email me at [email protected] and I'll give you my paypal info (def. not the purpose of this thread but I figured it might help him out.)

Thanks guys. He's out of surgery, in the recovery room.

Just saw him for a few minutes... He's groggy but able to move a little bit. I talked to him and he was responsive, mainly with little nods or raising his eyebrows, so I know he could understand me- even if he is drugged up big time.

Apparently the surgery went well and the doctor said the veins used to do the bypass were pretty strong, so he should be OK. We're not out of the woods yet though, but hopefully the next couple days don't bring any complications.
