That is extremely reasonable! If the work is quality, go with it.

I would suggest not using wood at all in your boat. pvc plactic, king star light or king star board is the only way to go. using plywood is like throwing your money away. Even if you glass the wood it may keep it strong but the wood can not breath. in return this means rotten mildew smelly nasty wood. Every boat that i have seen in wood even glassed has some type of rotting mildew cracking ect. also its a real pain to staple into the staples always break or bend with pvc its always looks the same its easy to staple into you can heat and bend it to your boat . i hope this helps out on your build

I got a quote the other day for my boat...

engine hatch-$1000
back seat back-$1000
each bolster-$1200
back seat bottom-$350
gunnel side panels-$300 each

All wood is being replaced with PVC.

Is my 10 year old Baja worth this??

thats a pretty good price for replacing all the wood with PVC board, I would jump on it. especialy if your going to hang on to it, new threads are always nice.

Sounds good to me. considering pvc is 200-300 a sheet plus labor to cut sew refoam ect i think it worth it. just remember the cockpit is were you spend all your time in the boat so you should want it to be nice it will make your boat look near brand new. plus with pvc it will still be there in another 10 years its a wise investment to me.:ernaehrung004:
