Big Loss...

BIG VIC ,that had sponsored my race boat has passed away.
People from the New Jersey area may have known him from the
area establishments he had created. Taken from APP 3/17/02: "
VICTOR J. RALLO 64, of Franklin Lakes, died Friday at Mount
Sinai Medical Center, New York City. For more than 45 years , he
brought dining pleasure to many communities, including Rallo's
Ristorante in West Orange; Maggies Dockside in Butler;
Molly's Fish Market in Oakhland; V.R. Ralwiggies in Point
Pleasant Beach; Basil T's Brew Pub and Italian Grill in Red
Bank; and Zebu Forno in Red Bank and Sea Girt. He was
affectionately known as "Big Vic". He had many interests, among
them sailing vacations, cooking and above all, entertaining. When
he is remembered, it will be with his signature: a cigar in hand.
Whether at work or at home, he derived the most enjoyment
when with family and friends. Those who knew him knew him to
be all about his family--loving, caring, and protecting them
everyday. He also had a creative side, most often being displayed
on a beverage napkin as he explained to you his next great idea
and venture." I was fortunate enough to meet Big Vic and see
some of those ideas come together. God Bless him...He will be
missed. :( :(

Thanks Guys! I just got in a while ago from the funeral. I'm having a difficult time with this...:( Amazing but not surprised on how many people were there. Everyone had the same story on how this man made you feel when you were in his presence. From relatives, friends, as well as employees (present and past),if you met him a few times or new him for years, you somehow were his friend. That's just the way he was... He will not be forgotten and those meatballs will surely be missed! God Bless Him:(
