are you looking for new or used? What is your budget?

There is a lot of brands to choose from. The Scarab 302 is a great boat but there are other to look at too. I had a 36 Concept and am "ify" on recomending this company to you.

Im looking to spend in te $25-40k arena. I own my boat outright and do not want to finance. It would have to take a special boat and special price for me to finance. I am looking for used for sure. I have found scarabs in the $20-40k and some Bajas. I like their layout, good seating, good speed and a porta potti. I actually saw an 80's Scarab 302 CC that was big block powered. That was really tempting, REALLY tempting, but I have heard they have wood rot issues. Was also concerned with the fuel economy and condition of the motor. I think the idea of a CC with a big block is pretty cool, but the weight distribution is a bit odd.

I saw that 31 Fountain for cheap in your neck of the woods dreamer. This is when people are starting to buy all the repo'd stuff. I have monitored that site for a long time, theyre are pretty popular in FL. So its not something new for me. Problem with them is you just never know what youre getting with them. You can get a turn-key or a basket case no matter what the year. You have to be prepared to possibly dump some serious money to get the boat to norm. Just my opinion though. If I saw something really attractive, I may use them, but I doubt it. I want something turn-key.

Performance Center Console Opinion-260roadster.jpgThe price on a brand new 260 Roadster is $49,900 with a Merc V8 and bravo drive. The bottom is the same as the Spectre 24 Sportfish, but no outboard and built more for performance and style. Thus the "Performance Crossover" name. If anyone is interested feel free to contact me at 877-601-BOAT

bill63: Is there room for a porta potti in the console? Fountains dont typically come with a cuddy or much seating.
