I was at this race in Jasper. Didn't see all of it, but I remember the horrible sound it made when it hit the water.
It's a tribute to how well Wally puts a boat together, cause he walked away. :ernaehrung004: http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...99/CaptRon.jpg |

My son was 4 at the time and all he talked about for weeks was how Captain Ron's boat went upside down. Ron wasn't even banged up after that flip. A little shaken but not hurt at all. Wally just finished repairing one that hit a tree! The best part is that the tree was on the bank, not floating in the water. Again, Kim was not seriously hurt in the crash. |

I'm heading up to Alabama in a couple weeks for the Ft. Rucker 800' race. Supposedly, there will be some heavy hitters in the Unlimited class...a few folks got some really, really lightweight boats built over the winter. Should be interesting. :drink: |
