He is lucky it is bottom painted. He can just pull out the screws, grind down the area about the size of a 1/2 dollar about 1/8" deep and glass it back up level and repaint the bottom. Should be good as new.

Those are supposed to be there..they are the new surface tension disruptors, design to pre-seperate the water molecules for better airation on the steps, those are worth 5.7 mph minimum.

I had a customer several years ago bring me an 18' Youngblood jetboat. He had previously brought it to an older guy who worked out of his house to have the seats reupholstered. When the guy put the front seats in he put some rediculously long screws in them. He screwed through the seats, through the bottom of the boat and into the trailer bunks. The guy went to run his boat and couldn't get it off the trailer. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so he brought it to me. After he told me that he had the seats redone, I pulled a screw out to look. They were probably 3" long and the seat base was only 1/2" plywood. He called the old man who said "tuff $hit, it's not my problem". After we quit laughing, we got it fixed.

Happened to a friends boat. He found out while washing it!:eek: The previous owner had put the seats in after new carpet and used new, Longer, screws.:angry-smiley-038:
