Could this cause any problems!!! Picture

So my buddy is installing a new floor in his boat since the orginal floor was all rotted. the floor came out great but the screws he used to attach the floor were a tad to long.
I had to laugh but my buddy is about to buy another boat now and I feel really bad for him. I think he is going to just fill the holes and pray it dosnt leak.

Yeah its an unfortunate mistake, but I am sure, anyone who is competent in fiberglass repair, should be able to mend that up with no problem. Shouldn't cause any structural weakness if repaired correctly.

Looks like he's screwed!! :)

I asked him why he used long a$$ screws, but anyway once he figures out the best way to repair it he will do a great job since he is very anal when it comes down to things like this. I guess next time double check your work.

friend of mine once was cutting his floor to get to the gas tank area with a saws all type of cutter. guess what. hull was cut 3 feet long! you could see the blade outside the boat! We fixed it for him between a couple laughs, and he never hasd any trouble!

If the screws were a little bit longer he would have screwed it to the trailer, thus not needing tie down straps. That should be an easy fix once everybody stops laughing . :drink:

Thats some funny chit!
