first ride in the new boat

Well it was 70 degrees here yesterday so I took out my 2000 33 outlaw for the first time. It ran good except one engine wouldnt go over 4800 rpm and I was getting 5 out of the other? They are running the same up until anout 4500. They are 502 mpi's, what should I get out of them as far as R's?

I think if I remember correctly the recommended rpm range is 4800-5000.

both engines should be running at the same rpm. 5000 to 5100rpm. Where did you take it for a test ride.

Just a little lake by my house....its called Beltzville. Where are you at?

May be something as simple as your tach's being off. Its not unheard of for them to be off 200 rpm's. If the props are the same pitch and not dinged up, I would check that first. 33 is a nice boat. I always loved the lines of that boat. Congrats.

Maybe you need to tweak the trim a little I had a Baja that one was doing that. I had to hit the port trim a little to get the R's to the same.

Try that. Have some get in the boat on land... Trim them up together and see of one is getting a little higher then the other.. That was my problem

Good luck
