Thats is haul'n. We have a guy on our lake that has a 25 Talon that tops 140. You guys may know him, its Scotty Cannon, he races funny cars. Anyway his boat has a 706c.i. naturally aspirated with two stage nitrous and 1800h.p. This summer he and the 36 Tom Cat skater raced. He left the Skater until he ran out of Nitrous. He was over 140 that day. The skater hit 180.

Like a goofball, I totally forgot to mention the most important group, I gotta give a big hand too Powerboat Magazine!! They put it all together, the big test for all of us gear heads, they had it all, one big kahuna in a driver, not too mention a fearless sidekick holding that radar gun (at 130, I thought I was going to lose my arm onetimeeek, safety team on standy by, helicopter for excellent photos and a complete staff to give us all the complete play-by-play details soon!

Motor had 1300hp. Single 598ci motor with dual 3.3 Liter Whipple Chargers. Scotty will need a few extra bottles to keep up with this bad boy, these won't run out Wait until you see whats next!

Rick, no problem!!!!

Thanks,
Dustin:

Talking 144 MPH

Let me answer for Fred, as he doesn't watch the net. Yes, it had your trans buried inside the stand-off box. He said Bob Teague did a heck of a job driving. May have been faster, but they ran out of river...We're in a drought out here you know

Wow, that must have been a hell of a ride! Glad to hear it all worked. Bet there is a little more left.

Wow, that's moving! I can't imagine going that fast, let alone that fast in a 25' boat!

Default Congrats

Stones and resources! As a fellow, albeit much slower, 25 owner it makes me proud!

Curiosity- was this a single or twin step hull? Is the x-dimension top secret and other set-up tips top secret or can it be shared with the board?

Dustin you are awesome. Now you own the top speed in two eliminators (25' and 28'). Keep this up and by the time your as old as me, you will be a legend in this industry. I'm with Cattitude, would love to hear the rigging specs. When's Powerboat going to publish this?

Seriously, you either need to tell us your under a gag order or spill a lot more details. That's too big a tease! How much boost? What type of gas? What were the conditions? You didn't do this on that little reservoir again, did you?

Bottom line - CONGRATULATIONS!

p.s. Isn't that the equivalent of 200 mph in a 46' Skater?
