Just an introduction.
First of all, hey all!
I'm a little unsure how to introduce myself, but I'll do the best I can. My name is Marc a long time Porsche and Offshore Racing enthusiast. I've been exposed to offshore powerboat racing, boat design, racing, and whatever else involving these massive machines my entire life. My Father, Sonny (or HL) Miller owns a company founded in the late 70's called CAL500. It's a very small business specializing in the propulsion systems, mostly. My father has designed, tested, and sold these drives for years with great success. All which are hand built and hand polished (or powdercoated) by the two of us.
The company was started in Monte Carlo, Monaco (where we're from) nearly 30 years ago and has since moved it's main office to Santo Domingo, DR and South Florida. The office pretty much goes where my Father goes - ahh, the beauty of small business ownership!
My main reasons for joining this site are: I want to get to know the majority of the offshore crowd; since I'm around this stuff all day with my Father, I don't bother looking online once the day is over. I think it's in due time! We also have tons of parts laying around we're trying to sell. Perhaps this would be a good place to give people the parts we can no longer use. I would also like to get our name out there a bit more as far as our services and whatnot.
Once of my favourite toys we have is a MINT CONDITION 1988 WORLD CHAMPION Gentry raceboat! It's a beauty- my favourite. I have a picture someplace, but not on this computer. I'll need to make a picture post of the Gentry boat very soon.
Speaking of pictures, here's a bit of show-off-shots just to give you an idea of what's going on as far as projects and other fun stuff:
Here's our Project 55' Wellcraft along with our custom drives, SeaTek engines, and other cool junk.
Here's my Dad's 42' CAL500 Millennium constructed from our Cigarette 42' mold:
Aaaand, here's some shots of a few select drives we've made over the years:
That's about it. Sorry if my post seems to be nothing but jabber, but I like to meet new members with lots of information along with pictures!

Good to meet you! Thanks for your post- it's always interesting to meet the original guys. My father remembers you very well. He says he last remembers you doing 100mph next to him on the open water!
