The only problem I see..is the marketing of the drive issue..and hopefully that will be resolved in the next few months. No bravo drive will ever compete against a NXT or something with a tranny..

Not to throw stones, but I recall seeing that 32' Skater for sale in TX a few years ago with a blown engine (Ilmor) and it did not have no where near 800 hrs on it. Wasn't it for sale from Bud Bloom?
At the the same time a bit more info than a "recollection from several years ago" would go a long way. Id love to hear his story- send him a PM if you can and lets hear what his side of the deal is. Id really love to hear what may have happened because I would have mailed him personally before I bought if I'd seen a story like that. Anybody got a link to a thread he wrote about his experience- I don't know anybody with a blown engine that doesn't yak about it. UD |

800 hours on a 700 HP motor, that is very good no matter how it has been run.

Doesn't sound right to me. I think it's BS.
I also said I "wasnt going to go that far out", but these units last a Looong time as long or longer than their v8 counterparts of similar output. That data came from the same inquiry posted on SOS- here's his quote verbatim. DaveP Charter Member DaveP's Avatar Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 52 I believe the current ILMOR record is a 32 Skater with twin ILMORS & 800+ hours and ZERO FAILURES. Thats pretty impressive! Anyody know Dave P and if he is or isnt a story teller? Let see if we can contact said skater owner and get him to verify this claim- Id like to know. UD |
