My 21' Hammond Challenger runs high 70's all day and best of 80.4GPS with 385ci SBC power. Pad bottom and is one of the fastest hulls of all time. Very limited production run from Hammond though. Stryker bought the molds from Hammond for their 21' and then Predator and Apache used the hull. Superboat uses a form of it currently. Powerboat called it the fastest and best rough water handling hull they ever tested back in the 80's.

As far as speed and quality it's hard to beat a Velocity. 22' or the 23' Regal Velocity are fast hulls. Same goes for the 26'.

Here's my Hammond......

i've done some measuring and a 20-22 is about the most i can get comfortably into my storage space......so anything larger is just not going to work. I'm just looking at my options, and looking for suggestions. I've learned a lot in just the 2 days this has been posted....like is said, i'm not going offshore, just in the st. johns river, but it's like 3 miles across in some places and can get rough. I enjoy my 100mph boat, but it has to be smooth with not any other boat traffic to really enjoy and feel safe....once you'v been driving a boat on the pad at near 100mph, anything else seems kinda slow....i guess i will have to get used to that if i'm looking at spending what i have budgeted for a 4th boat... I think if i did have one of the older classic boats, i could stand it to be a little slower than somethign that costs more and looks newer and faster...

I sell Liberator cats and Checkmates right below you in Daytona. The 21 Liberator will run 105 with a 300XS and run 80-90 mph in a 2ft chop. The 21 Checkmate will run 90 with a 300XS. You can check out what I have in stock on my website at: http://liberatorfl.tripod.com/id19.html

It was like going from an angry hornet hive on back to a pack of angry gorrilas on back! They both require alot of azz time before you can open em up. They both chine walk but you can drive it out of em.
