Gino-i was on PP port side at the start.He gave a 5 min,2min, and 1 min hand signal to all boats.He paced it at 60 mph for a mile before they dropped the flag.
No B.S. -it was a very fair start.

LubeJobs42 06-10-2009 06:06 AM

From where we were we couldn't see any signals.
We were expecting a green flag like every other race.

You guys both have superb machines.

You thread in waters at speeds I have no interest in achieving and you have my respect for this. This said;

My interest is in offshore boats and running long range at high speeds more like the Bimini Run that happened last year and is happening this weekend. We know who has achieved there.

These run for bridges whether in NY or FL or cat killers showing up and breaking are in my opinion marginal achievements... to me.

Mr. Pyburn's video shows his boat hitting 170 that is impressive for any boat but within 90 seconds one belt is gone and 2:09 Minutes into the run both blower belts have come off, longevity might be an issue, this is more the makings of drag boats than offshore boating and drag boats hit 210mph in 5 seconds.

Congrats both of you on having awesome rigs.

SKATER NATION

I love those two videos, now I know more about these other 170 mph I read about, it is Skater nation for real. I have never been in one of those hot-rod cats, and I could only make assumption of who was fast, you put all that to bed on who rules the roost.

That is just so f*cking cool!

You guys should both bring your boats up to the 1000 Islands Poker Run in August. See what they can do running against a couple of turbine boats. Over 50,000 people will be able to varify the fastest boat in person as they line the shores of the St. Lawrence. I know i'd love to see you guys up here. cheers.
