my friend just bought a motor its a 454 says 450 high performance series??? whats the deal any good?? its all blue??? he got a good deal on it hes putting it in a 25ft fishing boat lol like a knock off of a parker

I think it was made in 98 they had the 454 450hp 502 500hp and the 454 525sc hp around then they had a 502 450hp to when they had the stock 502 in 94. I could have my dates off.:grinser010:

The 450 was a 454 made in the mid 90's, I think it came out in 95. only used a couple of years, there were lots of water problems with the earlier ones. Mainly condensation, they didn't have the oil cooler thermostat until maybe 96. They were blue and a pretty strong engine. Replaced lots of valve springs in them, mainly from the condensation problem.

I cant believe no one else is askin...What boat did you buy? Lets see some pics and hear some B.S. I dont know whats more exciting, owning a boat or dreaming of the one you`re about to get. It`s not the kill its the thrill of the chase I guess.
