Boat lifting on Starboard Side

Any ideas what would make my 1996 26 ft. Scarab lift on the starboard side? I have a 502 with a B&M 250 on it making about 650 hp. I am using right rotation 28 pitch bravo 1 lab finished. I have tried all sorts of props including left rotation but nothing seems to help. I checked for a hook, but only found maybe 1/8 inch in 4 ft. I have to have the port tab at about 3 on my indicator. Ideas?

Have you tried to move weight around in the boat?

1/8" over a 4' section of your running surface is a significant piece of bottom. The boat is 26' long and if that hook runs 4' forward, that's a hook in 15 percent of your bottom on the problematic side, which could definitely drive down the nose and make the boat feel as if you needed to use more positive trim than would actually be required. I had a 22' Scarab with the same problem and when I had the bottom blueprinted and the hook remove, the boat came alive.

I have tried moving weight. It does it even if everyone sits on the same side. I will go and see what I can get done to the bottom. Thanks for the help so far.

Some of it may be torque steer...

Are you running a right hand prop, i think a lefty may help.
Check in the Carrera Forum, Kreed is running some big power in his 27 and his was leaning to one side too.

get your bottom blueprinted. i agree with eric. i had my bottom blueprinted and gained 4-5 mph with much better ride and handling. you will be amazed how much better your boat will be.

Do you have this issue at all speeds and trim settings? My boat leans slightly to port until I get rolling and give it a little trim.

most likely its a combination of prop and motor torque. try the left spinning prop
