Default Cocoa Beach July 3rd and 4th?

Any of you guys want to get together on the weekend over at Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach Area? Ski Island?

Silver Glenn St. johns?

Throw some ideas.....?

Ski Island is near Port Canaveral, Merritt Island, and the locks. Specifically, located @ 28.411313, -80.641545. You can find alot more info about it at http://www.boatbrevard.com/group/skiislandgroup and at http://www.ski-island.com/

JJ,
I not sure what we are doing that weekend, we might have a party to go to in Melbourne, not sure what day and I'll check with my buddy, BUT definitely we will be out on the water!
Not sure what boat we'll be in, but we can meet @ Ski Island, and run south down the Banana River, to............ Sometimes Ski Island gets a little crazy for my 9 year old, so we go down to Bird Island in Banana river.
Does boatbrevard have anything planned for the 4th weekend?
Thanks,
Dean

Well....since the lakes are LOW I am getting the itch and probably run over and launch out of Kelly Park and hang out around Ski Island, my buddies want to fish and I want to overnight on the Scarab so I am going to make some plans.

How busy is it at Ski Island on the 4th? I hear its crazy but fun!

What boat ramp do you guys suggest-how about leaving my truck/trailer overnight?

Offshore powerboats races. As far as to what ramp to use, I'd suggest Kelly Park, on Banana River drive, right off the beachline. It's big enough for your boat, but you might want to get there early, on big weekends it gets crowded! I've left my truck/trailer overnight in the past, and had no problems
Ski Island gets crazy EVERY weekend here lately, we don't hang out there because of all stuff that I don't want my 9 year old to see But we can swing by and say hey, and maybe run down the Banana River?
hope this helps.
Dean

We may be out on Saturday, not sure yet. We were over there last weekend, but not that far south (New Smyrna) and it was a blast. Toasted my impeller, but it was due for a change anyway, parts in route and it should be done tomorrow. So will be back on the water somewhere. We stay away from Disappearing Island for the same reason Dean. A LOT of idiots there as of late and a lot of things going on that are in appropriate for our kids.
