24'-30' Cruisers?
A buddy of mine is looking for a cruiser up to about 30' in or around New York State. He's willing to travel if the price is right. Looking for something in the 90's and newer, 8'6-9'6 beam with a trailer for under $20k. Twin small blocks or single big block, no fixer uppers. If anyone has any leads on anything let me know and I'll pass on the info. Thanks!!!

I just saw a 2000 Rinker 342 for $39K. As far as I'm concerned thats a heck of a good deal. If he can swing it tell him to go with a bigger beam...atleast 10'6"or 11'. Just bite the bullet and get a slip. Makes a heck of a difference when your entertaining. Women like width.

Never been on one, but if I were to cruise, I'd look at a boat like this. Not saying this is the one though, bilge looks like A$$.

Look @ Trojan. Great deal and contemporary design for the time.

Try Hutchinson's Boat Works in Alexandria Bay, N.Y. @ 315-482-9931.
1988 Sea Ray 268 Sundancer w/ single on a trailer @ $15,000. A couple years older that you stated, but 268's have a great layout and worked pretty well with a single. Can't go wrong with a Sea Ray, always easy to trade of sell, well recognized brand. |
