Unhappy Farwell to Crazy Charlie

Our sincerest condolences go out to family and friends of Charlie Albert

Charlie Albert, "Crazy Charlie" father of the "Tickfaw 200" has passed away at the age of 54 after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Hwy 22 west of Ponchatoula, LA around 1pm

Crazy Charlie was the owner of the Blood River marina in Killian, LA. Father of the Tickfaw 200 and Krewe of Wrecks Mardi Gras boat parade, Charlie led an exciting life. Just a couple of years ago Charlie, played the captain on the TBS reality show "The Real Gilligan's Island" and came home a winner.

Charlie holds two records, in 1995 crossing the Gulf of Mexico in record times of 16 hours then again in 1999 in less than 14 hours.

Funeral arrangements for Albert were incomplete as of late Tuesday night.

We're gonna miss you Charlie

The "river" will never be the same. We miss you and everything on the river will bring back memories of you.
Rest in peace.
