I looked at that Jeff and the Marathon had Straight Strakes like a Bertram which would be an easy way spot it.

You are correct ,that 41 Marathon had a huge 25 inch or more bracket on the transom ,I remember the huge stringers in the hull ,they were like 16-17 inch in height and 3 inches thick ,beatifully laminated ,this was a masterpiece in laminating and rigging ,it felt like a solid piece concrete in the rough ,very heavy too ,the owner was trying to sell the boat back then,I would love to buy that boat and convert to twin turbodiesel ,but it was too much $$ back then for me .
How many of these were built ? I didn,t see any other 41 ,s . |

I rigged one around 1990 for Jeff Soffer at Champion Marine. I put a pair of 275 Mercury cosworth engines. I have pictures of it somewhere. I remember dealing with a guy ,called Leonard.

I have a 45 Don Smith and am in the process of converting it to outboards. Great to read the history here.
