Can you tell me about a 2001 27' Avanti?? Quality and ride??

Hey, Dangerous, want to buy your 22 back? :evilb: It is sort of for sale, I now have a 32 Activator (Slim Shady). The Avanti has been stored indoors since I got it from you. The only changes I made are a 1.36 drive (no, it did not break the 1.5 drive), an Accusump, a puke tank, Gaffrig pitot pickup, a longer steering ram (handles well off-plane now) and I found that the old Mach Sterndriver four blade props work very well, no antics like you describe with the Mirage or the Rev. 4 props. Anyway, it is a great boat; surprises most everyone who tries to run against it. I just freshened the cylinder heads only because a spark plug backed out - only tuliped the valves on the one cylinder. We just re-ground the other valves, good engine; like you said, plenty of power.
