Drives ripped off boat (pics)
 

So i was at a local marine to pick up some fuel treatment and as I was leaving I seen this boat with twin's. Both drives snapped off at the gimble housing and seemed like the only thing holding them on was the bellows....It must have hit something really solid or guess it could have ran aground?

Looks like maybe something hit it from the rear while on a trailer or dropped off the fork lift. Big heavy boat w/ Bravo 3's. I wonder if he wants to buy the HP gimbles I have for sale? He sure needs them!

Ouch!!!!

We have a few submerged rock walls and bulkheads around my area and there's usually 1/2 boats that look like that!

One time when I was still working at the marina a guy hit a submerged wall so hard at speed that when he hit it he quickly turned around to see his lower unit somersaulting through the air!

definately looks like it could have been hit while being trailered

looking at the pik, if he nailed something underway, wouldnt the paint be scratched up and the skegs customized??

I saw that same boat at East Dover.

Over where the North Channel meets the South Channel on Lake St. Clair here in MI, there is an old submerged barge that sunk on it's side, so it is standing vertically in the water. It sits about 2'-3' under water, or just about the right height to rip the drives off a boat if you try to cut the corner a bit. :poopoo:

Given the corrosion history of Bravo III's, they might have just simply fallen off while it was sitting on the blocks.....
