Default Powerboaters for drilling and lower gas taxes

We need to get these politicians who voted for the energy tax,no drilling here and buy into the "global warming myth" out of office ASAP. They are overtaxing, making our boats worthless and putting Americans out of work while we depend on Arabs to drill for us. Please remember to vote all of them out ASAP

We supply 3% of the worlds oil. Best case scenario we can double that with increased drilling... Not a big solution. Because we use the amount of oil that we do, we are dependent on foreign oil..i.e. Arab oil. As far as voting politicians out ASAP... I think we need to wait for an election. They come around every two years.

The time is now to reduce the bulk of oil use... i.e. reducing electric consumption, mandating a national speed limit, Cafe standards.

This will leave more than enough fuel for our boats.

Another solution is to buy a diesel boat. I pay 1.60 at the dock for my fuel. No road/ fuel taxes. Gasoline is not tax segregated.

We can supply a lot more than the 3-6% you mentioned. There are oil reserves off the coast of Florida more vast than Saudi Arabia. Just too many restrictions to go get it. But The Chinese are, by angle drilling in Cuban waters.
the energy tax bill also makes it harder to utilize shale oil and coal oil for energy.
Time to clean house at the midterm elections!!

Hey Midocean your diesel fuel is headed skyward too within 5 years and your boat is becoming worthless as a result. The federal taxes do not exempt boat fuel. Obama and Pelosi do not want us burning carbon fuel period.

It is totally folly for the United States to import energy from our enemies. We need to develop our own energy resources. Coal, tar sands, offshore oil and natural gas, nuclear, wind, water, and solar. We also need to immediately start building refineries all around our country so when a storm hits the Gulf of Mexico, we won't be months before refining can resume. The politicians who do not understand or simply think differently need to be voted out of office at the earliest election.

One more thing, this carbon b.s. should not even be considered until all the rest of the world is totally commented to this idea. How can we hope to compete when we have all these artificial rules to hamstring our companies, while our competitors laugh at us and continue to increase production of goods in China, India, Mexico, and the rest of the "developing nations".
