Has anyone converted their bravo boat to NXT1?
What obstacles did you have to over come?
What type of boat?
Where there hidden expenses (above the drives and transom assembly)?

I heard it is a #6 cut out with it's own transom plate and assembly. Never could find out if it had a specific bell housing or used a bravo style.

I would go with a #6 if your talking about the eliminator or the MTI.You still have to run a transmission and the foot on the NXT has giving many problems with too much lift..
The gimbal assembly is the same as a #6,,your cut out will be larger than your bravos.Also need to take in account moving the engine forward with plugins or drive shafts unless the MTI has drive shafts allready.The exhaust will also come up 12-14" shorter. Pete give me a call if you need a hand my drive guy has done many bravo to #6 conversions.

I do not think Mercury sells them seperately without the engine. So to my knowledge nobody can anwser your question. Converting to six is a large undertaking as the engines need to go forward for the tranmissions. I think you would be better off with some of the other drives like Imco 1000's.

konrad ace with the xfactor drive, tranny is in the 8'' ext box so you leave your motor where it is and you can get the drive with a stock lower, a bullet nose, or even a shorter drive with bullet nose about 2'', they rate it at 800hp. I have one going on a 24 to 30ft hull single 1050hp set up., also heard the nxt did not work good with a single set up something with the nose or skeg. uncle bill knows it was on a lavery craft

Just wondering if it has been done. I would consider converting the Eliminator if the motors could stay in the same place. Does the transmision go in the box on the NXT?
