Platinum Powerboat Club is hosting their 2nd Annual "Puttin' on a Wish II" Charity Ride & Fun Run
on beautiful Lake Norman, N.C. this weekend!

Platinum Powerboat Club has already received a total of 212 Make A Wish children & their families to participate in Friday's charity ride event. We are very excited to inform you that this is more than double from last September.

Chip Fendt states, "STATEMENT Marine’s Dream Team Tour 2009, converge on Lake Norman for their 8th stop. The Crew of Todd Werner, Nick Buis, Gene Weeks, Mark Spates, Chip Fendt and Harry Fendt continue on their Tour de Force. STATEMENT ! Marine is deeply touched by joining the many others whose unwavering dedication and compassion have fulfilled so many children’s wishes!"

Included in the weekend of events: Thursday night, Joy Schou and Kenny Dean, host a VIP Captain's appreciation dinner (RSVP required), Friday Day, boater participants give charity rides to the Make A Wish children and their families, Friday night, the Platinum Powerboat Club is hosting a live auction, giving 100% of ALL proceeds to the Make A Wish Foundation of Western and Central North Carolina. On Saturday, nationally known comedian Chris Wiles is featured at Saturday evening's 5 Star Awards Banquet. This is a great weekend that has the entire family in mind, that comes complete with a lot of awesome happenings that you DON'T want to miss!!
Event Cost
*Platinum Boat Registration fee- $295.00 (including all reasonable fee's associated with your vessel for participation in Lake Norman, Puttin on the Wish Extravaganza Event) Due upon registration
*Platinum Experience-- $725.00 (1 person - includes 2 night accommodations for July 31 and August 1 at the hosting Marriott hotel, all 5 star dining and receptions, live entertainment, awards banquet (featuring nationally known comedian Chris Wiles) and 1 Limited Edition event T-shirt
*Platinum Experience-II--$395.00 (1 person - includes all 5 Star dining and receptions, live entertainment awards banquet (featuring nationally know comedian Chris Wiles) and 1 Limited Edition event T-shirt
*Participation in the Puttin' on the Wish charity ride isn't necessary, but very much encouraged and appreciated. Last year 87 "Make A Wish" children and families were introduced to our passion through rides of a life time. This year we are anticipating a record number of Make A Wish families. Platinum Powerboat Club.......Granting wishes 1 event at a time!!
Platinum Powerboat Club, the "Club with a Heart" wants to extend an extra special appreciation and thank you, to ALL of those who have contributed to the live auction. It's because of you and your continued participation that we are able to grant the wishes we do 1 event at a time!!

Jim Lee – 46 'Skater/US-1 Freedom and a last year’s participant in the charity ride event states…“Puttin’ on the Wish Charity Ride was an incredible experience!! Being able to take care of these kids and watch their little faces light up, was just amazing and very heart warming! A 1st class event that you most definitely want to be a part of every year and stays with you!!”
Bill Duckworth - 51' Outerlimits/Bad Boy Billy and participant of last year's charity ride event states..." It's an absolutely wonderful and heartfelt event. To give these children, the chance of their little lifetimes and the community something back through my participation, is an amazing experience to say the least. Even though, I am a powerboat enthusiast and love the events, I am a very busy man. If it weren't for Joy Schou and the children, I would not participate in these events!! Joy and the club, are completely 1st class and 5 star all the way!!"
MISSION STATEMENT: To support boating at it's highest level of safety, convenience and value, while raising awareness for the sport and money for the less fortunate.
Over $13,000 raised at last year's "Puttin' on the Wish" event.
