Ohio is big, I found that lots of times guys from the far north prefer not to travel too far south.

I used a guy named Paul Kody. Seemed like he knew what he was doing, spent around 5 hours on a 38 footer. Guess he did his job, I ended up NOT buying the boat after flying out to Ohio........:cool:

Look at their listing of surveyors. Do your home work!!!!

Do not take anybody's word that they are an "accredited" surveyor, or that they are a member of SAMS or NAMS. Check the web sites and make sure they are listed.

Also, shoot for an accredited surveyor, as opposed to a surveyor associate. Nothing wrong with a surveyor associate, they just have not been through all the wickets, and you don't know their experience level.

If they say they are a member of NAMS, then go to the NAMS web site, they also have a listing.
