Unhappy Dick Genth died Monday

Dick was one of the most influential boating industry leaders. He died of cancer at age 77. Former president of Formula,Wellcraft,Chris-Craft, Donzi, and Century. Offshore racer in the Aronow days. Rest in peace, Dick,I'm am proud to have known you.

Heard a story about Mr. Genth Years Ago while he was at Chris Craft. Seems they were losing Stainless Hardware thru Theft, He warned the Staff, But it still continued to Happen. His Solution!! He fired everyone from the Foreman Down to the Guy Sweeping the floor .and Hired a new Crew, End of problem! Now I Respect that. Rest in Peace

Everything he did was a first class act. Whether it was the displays at the boat shows, the banquets at the dealer meetings,or the races he competed in, it was always first class.And in the later years when he didn't really need the money he was still active in the industry because he loved it, that was his life. His legacy will live on.
