Default 41' Cougar 3 motor

Hello! I'm new to the site. I stumbled on it while trying to find info on a new boat we just bought and I'm hoping someone on here may have know something about it. The boat is a 41' Cougar (England) and it's a 3 motor boat. It has three 502's on it. From the little bit of web browsing I've done, it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of 41' cougars in the U.S. and I haven't been able to find any at all that have 3 motors. Cougars website says coming soon so I figured I'd ask around here first. Does anybody know if they made this boat custom or if they actually produced them with 3 motors at one time? Any idea if if there's more around the U.S. or Michigan specifically? I don't know the exact year but I'm told it's about 10 years old. I can get more pics if needed. Thanks in advance!

That boat is at least 20 years old, not 10. Not sure about the 3 engine configuration, but I think there was at least 1 race 41 with triples.

Welcome Dave! I have a couple friends with tripple engine 46' Cougars...but no 41 footers with tripples. One friend is in the Grand Rapids area and the other is in St. Joseph.

Only two US-1 41's were ever made with triples, the boat was originaly sold via a dealer we had in Chicago called Boat Works. Power was from triple 502's on Bravo 1 drives, I think it was in 1993/4

The other triple was powered by Cobra 850's on Mk6 drives and is still in the UK

I know where there is a recent wrecked 41 Couger with staggard Blown W/#6s. Was Jackknived on I 95 in port orange, Fl.
Pushed a tree threw the bow half way threw, what I heard yesterday the insurance wants to buy another hull to retro old parts into it. Yeah Rite. Scrap hull to say the least. I belive it is a 1994. Looks just like your picture michigandave.
I will take a photo of the smashed hull and post it next week.
Lots of free board, but to me the design of the upper deck to hull is weird, Heavy hitter though what I hear.

She,"Pocket Money" was mine one time ago(long ago), and she was something else! Best you've ever seen offshore in the ruff stuff. Which salvage company has her? Any website?

I believe Pocket Money is in Florida now. I think that was the name on the photos I got. I remember she had yellow trim tabs.
