O2 Sensor & Pyrometer
Going to send my E-Tops back to CMI this month for testing. I was thinking of having them weld me some bungs for an O2 Sensor and a Pyrometer gauge from Livorsi.
Question: Should I have them make me 2 holes(each side), and just keep the O2 Sensor holes plugged? or just 1 hole for the pyrometer sender and use that hole to test O2 with a hand held sensor? I have been told not to leave an O2 sensor in permanently?? At $150 bucks a pop to add a bung I hate to waste $$$$ if not needed.
Also, are the thread sizes the same for the O2 sensor (LM-2 Wideband) and the pyrometer senders?

Called CMI for the answer… good info.. Here is what they said..
O2 Sensor bung will go in the collector right at the top of the header..
Pyrometer sender bung will go on the last tube on each bank (#7 and #8) cyl.. (That is what they said is normally done).
Just an FYI..
