Freeboarding is actually the sport of towing a surfer behind a boat. Freeboard means no foot anchor to the board (like surfing), but freeboarding has generally been known as wakeboarding now. Like a snowboard for the water, which is towed behind a boat.

I had an 1986 260 Stinger.. "Summer Madness" I had it painted and put a pair of crate zz4's from GM in it. It had alpha's Great boat.

The guy who bought it from me still runs it with the same motors. Over 400 hours on them. We call them dog years. They have spent most of there life at 5000 rpm's so when it says 400 hours its probably in dog years.

Great boat though. I loved mine. SOLID HULL! took the rough way better then the 30' I bought next.

Post some pics. would love to see it. I will go through an old file and see if I still have the manuals. If I do I can send you some cool literature on this boat..

Good luck

freeboard is the distance from the floor to the top of the gunnels on the boat. A boat with a lot of freeboard is a boat that you stand very deep in vice a boat with little freeboard which is one you feel like you are almost riding on top of.

wakeboarding without bindings is called wakeskating or wakesurfing depending on what type of board you are on.
