Default Value on Excaliber 27 1980

Curious as to the value on an Excalibur 27 1980. See attached link. I went and looked at the boat a couple of days ago. I'll tell you it's not as it appears in the photos. No motor, comes with TRS left hand, tranny and bellhousing (all need to be painted), 23 pitch TRS old school cleaver. Cables and wires running everywhere in the engine bay.Upholstery on engine hatch is worn, wood rotton, cockpit upolstery is weathered. Crack at the center of the transom above the drive where the hull meets the deck. Floor is soft. There are three vertical cracks on each side of the bottom outside strakes in the helm area that appear to be right where the bulkheads are. They are approx 2 feet apart which leads me to believe that the stringers are soft also. A few other repairs to the bottom that have been filled with Duraglass. Gauges and helm area are weathered and faded. Boat is sitting on an aluminium trailer that needs TLC. Wheels do not look too roadworthy. Owner is asking $15000.00, I offered him 3K. He says he's had offers sight unseen for 12.5K. Anyone have any idea what this is worth.

If it is as bad as discribed you would have to give me 15k just to break even on that thing. Jeffman1000 has one you should look at.

Are you specifically looking for a flat deck? I have a 27 Speedster (taller deck) that is in pretty good shape. Needs a motor. Take it so I dont start working on it.

PM if interested.

Boat is worth $1500.00 based on your description. Tell him next time he gets a sight unseen offer for $12,500 he should take it.

I have one I just got in that I would make a deal on before I start working on it.

Needs an engine. Has upholstery in good shape. Stereo and speakers are missing out of it. All running gear is in the boat and still installed. Has dry pipe Stainless marine exhaust.

I have a nice 520HP+- 454 in the machine shop right now for it so that it can be a running boat. Boat is supposed to run high 70's with that HP in it.

The boat needs a little glass work and a full paint job and then it would be a really nice run around boat. Everything else appears to be solid in it. I havn't spent much time with it yet, but after a paint job, it would be a kick azz looking rig.

Has a lot of nice aftermarket rigging in it also.

PM me if you are interested.

Jeff

Default 27 Excalibur

That Boat Belonged To Me From 1985 To 1997 . It Was In Great Shape When It Left Erie Pa , It Had A Matching Steel Trailer Interior Was Perfect Hull Was Near Perfect The Black Gelcoat Was Real Nice Also . The Crack Above The Drive Is There Because It Used To Have A Number 3 Drive On It, With A 1052 H.p. Turbo Motor In It And It Ran 105 Mph Its A Shame How People Abuse What Was A Very Nice Boat. That is a really cool looking boat.

I might be interested in doing something like that.

The guy pulled the ad that I bought it off of, or you could see it. I can get some more pics maybe tomorrow.

Default 27 Magnum

I looked at this 27 Magnum too. Also for sale in the neighborhood. Price is right for what it is but I just don't want to buy another complete boat.
