Dragboat Icon dies from Injuries
One of the nicest guys you would ever know passed away a few days ago from injuries he sustained at a Ft Worth race a couple of months ago. We raced against him (top alcohol Flat botton)for many years and he was truly one of the good guys. Don You are in our hearts forever. RIP

Our Condolences go out to Phyllis Ermshar and the Ermshar Family on the passing of Don Ermshar. Never knew him but have seen him racing on TV and heard of his reputation as being one of the best. RIP

Wow. That's sad. never heard of him (not really into drags), but it looks like he was an icon who dominated his class.
Looks like he may have had a stroke while in the midst of the run, and wasn't in control of the boat, thus the crash. Out of all the places on the planet to have a medical episode, I can't think of a worse place than at the helm of a drag boat at speed.
RIP Don........
