He won't pick up the phone. I suspect he's either selling it right now or wants to wait until the eBay auction ends late tomorrow. I've met the first number he threw at me. I know he does not want to sell it, but he's laid off by GM. I've given him first right of refusal should I ever want to sell it. What else can I do?

Not a thing. I've been to that point before on everything from bikes to boats. They usually come back a month later and want to take the deal but it's usually too late.
