Navigation is no problem. There is a navigation channel. It does neck down around Raccoon Mountain (halfway point)where it gets DEEP in the gulch created by an earthquake. I have north of 150 feet on the transponder. I have heard reports of 200+.

It is an easy place to navigate. Now get that boat together and come on.

How many miles will the run cover? I don't want to fill my tanks all the way up since this will probably be my last run of the year.

It is around 35 miles from Hale's Bar to Chattanooga and a few more miles if you go from Nickajack dam to Chattanooga.

The area this run will cover is gorgeous, especially through the gorge. I got a chance to run down there in 2007 with some folks on a fall color cruise and really enjoyed it. Wish I still had my boat, I would do this run in a heartbeat.

The area was very easy to navigate.

A couple shots a friend took from my boat at the run in 2008.

This is the real reason Gerald bought a new boat. Notice in the bottom picture (see post #26) that my Baja is pulling away from his 35 Fountain.

Hmmm, umm, Thomas....I think he was passing you.

But, my point of view could be off since I was behind both of you.
