Who sells stereos equip. on this board?

I'm ready to buy some speakers and a new deck for my Baja, and I know there's a few of you guys that sell equip.

So, if you can sell either marine Clarion, or MB Quart speakers let me know and I'll tell you what I'm looking for.

I'd rather give one of you guys some business than an anonymous stereo store on the web.

Also, can you suggest a good MP3 deck for under $300 (doesn't have to be marine)

thanks

Mp3 Deck...

I am sorry I cant help you with the Clairion stuff or the M.B. quart. But as far as a good mp3 player, there I can help...
I carry Jvc and Pionier and both have a mp3 player just depends on the options as to the cost.

e-mail me if you have any other questions.

Cramer

p.s. Forest or Audiofn sould be able to help you on the other problem.

I need to do something about my stereo situation as well....I have trashed two cd players in the last 9 mos.....they cant take the rough stuff .......will an mp-3 player do any better?? Is there a cd player made that will withstand the abuse a offshore boat dishes out???

OZARKBOATER 04-08-2002 04:49 PM

I dont know what your situation is but, there is a mp3 box out now. It is called "Jukebox" it is basicly a computer that is about the size of a changer. The one thing you have to load the songs on it. And to change them you have to take it out and put it in to the base to load more, or differant songs...now it holds some thing like 6000 songs so it would take you quite a while to fill it up, but the nice part is it doesn't skip...from what I have heard. I have not seen or heard one in person.

Here is a site that has some more info on them.

In fact if anyone knows more about these or has seen one installed let me know, I would like to pick up the line, if they work as good as they say they do.

well u guy's hit my specialty, see I use mp3 hard disk access for
djing works great almost as fast as u can name a tune , I
can search find it! to the tune of 15000 songs on a 60 gig drive

now that neo system has had some problems, we installed one
in a honda that had 4 12" jl's pushing 1200 watt RMS not peak
power, the vibration from the high SPL's cause read errors
on the hard disk, making for small silent gaps in the music.

and I dont think the hard disks can take the beating u guys are going to dish out.

I recommend use a static memory device like Smartmedia,
flashcards and MMC cards. there are lots of these on the market
now. simply plug it in to you cd in jack "if you have one"
or use a fm modulator.
personally I,ve become lazy and bought a satillite radio, Sony
portable u buy shells for car house boat and it pops out.
I now never have to drag my disks around with me.

My guy tells me that MB Q's (marine) are on back order big time. Is that not the case?
