Sounds like cracking the filters loose or puncturing a hole is the way to go. Thanks!

puncture it off center, closer to the edge to avoid the drain back valve, that can be knocked loose and accidently left on the filter mount. Gettin dirty Brian?

Warm the motor up put a grocery bag under the oil filter punch a hole in the filter pull oil out through the dip stick most of the oil will be out of the filter buy the time you are ready to spin it off any that falls will be in the bag.
