Hey now. Some us like to do more than just look at the pretty boats sitting at the dock
Well, then the pits are useless. too.
There will be more POKER RUN boats getting used for fun than Race Boats racing. And I mean blasting the harbor and taking cruises.
As a former racer I weep for the condition of racing.

well maybe in KW, but at a race, if Jim is in the pits, margaritas are flowing, and if Im in the pits, capt and cokes are flowing..

Speed GIrl,

tko belongs in p2, where walt was all year, its just too bad that a couple of teams are causing an upheaval in p2 because their canopied fountains cant keep up with a true rough water uncanopied race boat! go get um walt, richies sutphens are awsome!
I don't believe it has anything to do with canopied vs uncanopied or Fountain vs Stuphen. It most likely has everything to do HP.

Dry your eyes Cash, boatracing is doing just fine. There are 60ish teams here representing one of the most international fields ever to race Key West. The line up of races for next year is amazing. Some of the showboater/flag collectors have left us for sure, but what you have left is a core of folks who want/love to race. We will have six or seven boats in our class (depending on who gets finished and gets here) and you know that number will make for a serious race. There is much talk about consolidating classes and making things more interesting for the spectators. People are listening, changes take time. Our President could step in and completely change the course of Offshore overnight, I'm sure. Unfortunately he is busy altering something else that not as busted as people think. In spite of all to the contrary, people who want/love to race boats Offshore will be doing it. I know it has become a reflex reaction to dismiss it, but one of these days, say you're lost and you find yourself at a race site you might be surprised how vital and changed it has become.
