Round Britain book finally available!
Well, it's taken over a year, but there's finally a book out on the 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race!
Called "Chasing The Horizon" it's the story of how Derek Wynans, a freelance writer commissioned by a major boating magazine tried to cover the ten-day endurance race- despite losing his promised seat just before the start. Somehow he managed to thumb a lift all the way round, covering well over a thousand miles on no less than five totally different raceboats.
Mike Lloyd, the man who dreamed up & organised this epic event, seems to like it. He said: It made me laugh out loud many times and brought tears of emotion to my eyes at others. A great read for anyone with a feeling of the sea and an ounce of adventure in their soul."
Can't be all bad then!

Hi Stuck,
Amazon is probably your best bet at the moment, but regular bookstores will stock it eventually. Try using www.bookfinder.com -I've found them really helpful in the past.
