Default 1999 Model Scarab 29 AVS

Hi All,

Can any one tell me where I can get either originals or made copies in GRP or aluminuin of the "Engine Bay Side Vents" for a 1999 Scarab 29 AVS ?

I also need to find a supplier who can sell original or make new complete decal sets for the side of the boat, can any one recommend a good company ?

Please email me on : [email protected]

Kind Regards,

Ian

Thats what I was wondering as well??????

For your vents, contact http://www.offshorenortheast.com/

They should be able to make them out of aluminum if you can send them a diagram or an old one. I had them make a custom bezel and they were easy to work with and reasonable with pricing.

Yes , although many people have expressed the same suprise.

Its definatley a stepped hull. Infact if you go on the wellcraft web page and look under operator manuals , you can see it.

I had a P29 Scarab and followed them pretty well and just went to their web site and still only see a 33,38,43 step bottom AVS Scarab. If memory serves me correctly they made a few step bottom 26's for P1 racing. But it has been over 10 years since I looked at them. Please post a pic of yours.

Here's the links and manual PDF link. http://www.wellcraft.com/#/21/ and http://www.wellcraft.com/owners/perfspecfiles/268.pdf

When you initially click on the owners manuals, it says 29, 33, 38 and 43 AVS. When you actaully go into the manual on page 3-3, it says 29 Scarab, 33 Scarab AVS, 38 Scarab AVS and 43 Scarab AVS. Nothing about the 29 being an AVS hull.

Please post a pic of this mythological creature

Interesting, I worked @ 2 Wellcraft dealerships from 98-05 and I even owned a 1999 29' Scarab w/ 350 mags and have never seen a stepped 29. I would love to see this picture. Keep in mind I am not saying they dont exist, I always thought that AVS was on 33 and above.

Lapse, the 26's you are talking about were 2000 models made for the F1 series with a total of 6 made.

As far as your decals I would contact Ryan Beckley (Stickerboy) as he is a few miles from where Wellcraft used to be and either can do them or refer you to someone who can

Cool I was pretty sure I saw a step 26 that was for racing only just had the p not the f.

I think what he is looking at is where the chine stops and the pad starts. We all know they never sold a 29 avs so he either needs to change his screen name or buy a bigger boat. Now I gotta go and work on my 55 3 step Apache I got at a yard sale for 50 bucks.
