They dont list his 825 and only his NA motor says 92 oct. I hope he has it setup to run on 89 oct. like most of the other builders are doing.

Keith Eickert is with Lightning Performance Group. You can give him a call about the 825 engine. Not all of the engines are listed on the website. His number is 217-415-9568.

Thats what I was thinking, I will call him and see if it's still that way. I hope he made some changes to run on 89. He needs too since there are other builders with over 1000 hp on 89. There are two boats I am looking at with his 825's and it's too hard to get 92oct all the time.

It was a strong motor.. that 43 NT ran 96mph.. another buddy had 3 in a 45 Sonic.. always ran good.. not the same for 675's..not enough R&D.

call and check, on a efi with knock sensors you might be able to run 89, should pick it up [knock[ and cut the timing back some until you get the 92 in it

Who are the builders making over a 1000 hp on 89 octane fuel?

http://www.mercuryracing.com/sterndrives/hp1025sci.php

Mercury Racing is pleased to announce the release of the all-new 1025 SCi sterndrive engine package. The engine, based off the big block 1075 SCi, features an all-new fuel calibration which enables it to run on 89 posted pump octane (R + M)/2, or (95 RON) International fuel rating, versus the more powerful 1075 SCi that requires 91 posted pump octane (R + M)/2, or (98 RON) rated fuel. Mercury Racing Engineering made the fuel requirement change in response to the limited availability of fuels with the higher octane ratings at marinas and on-water facilities around the world.
