How long should the GPS speedo antenna battery last ? Our's only lasted 2 years 3 months in the boat . Does that sound right?

Most car GPS units power off the head unit, not sure why these don't.

Yea bad design , I talked to Mike Livorsi and some guy named Todd, To fix it with a refurbished antenna like the one I have now is $159.00 if I send the old one back . Then in another 2 years they will need another $159.00 to keep it working , or for $315.00 they will send me the new type antenna that has no battery and if I send in my old antenna they will give me a $30.00 discount.
