May2002 Issue of Powerboat Magazine Racing Review
I must say that year after year and month after month, I highly enjoy my issues of Powerboat Magazine. It seems that whomever wrote the thread "AS THE SEA CHURNS" needs to get some of their facts straight before printing it. This article was written as a preview for 2002 Offshore Racing Season. Before being involved as much as I am this year, I may have not noticed, but I did. Some information is inaccurate and false!!! Seeing some information about the team in which I am associated was not accurate. Would much of rathered of read this articale if it was written by Michelle May-Schmidt. I think she would have done a much better job in doing so. Makes me wonder what other stuff written in the article was false or inaccurate. Just really a bummer being a long timed subscriber.

I was asked by a few friends of mine who read the board and they wondered what article I was refering to. The title is as I posted a few posts up. It was the 2002 Offshore preview I was refering to in this thread. Hope that helps out.

Fred,
Being a fan and not being involved, you would not notice it. If I was in your shoes(not being involved in the sport) I would feel as it was a great article too. I myself have been named Crew Chief for the 2002 season for Shockwave Offshore Racing #71. Pat Patel is the throttleman for the 2002 season and Rich Troppoli is the Driver. The article states that Pat bought the new boat in which is a false statement. The owner and driver of the boat is Rich Troppoli and Pat Patel is the throttleman. The only reason I posted in which I was not happy with this article is due to the fact that Rich really deserves the credit where credit is due. Rich and his wife have really gone out of there way to make ma a huge part of his team. Shown largely by the fact that they named me crew chief for the 2002 season. Just want a good friend to have something written for himself in the right text with accurate information. Hope this clears things up for you and to anyone else that reads this thread.
