That is correct :drink: But the 40SS is not as wide and a different mold. 11'6 beam
40 SS best in rough water less speed per HP- weight ratio
40 Classic less rough than a SS but depending on the lay up close in speed HP-weight ratio 10'11 beam
38.8 Faster with same HP_weight ratio but less rough handling..also turns the courners faster. 11' beam

So does the 40ss have the same basic tunnel (depth and width) as the 46 then, but from a different mold though than the 46?

Also, the 40 classic hull you can get with 1 of 2 different decks? For instance, are Predator 1 and 2 the same hull (running surface and tunnel dimensions), just a different deck?

The old Predator has what is called the classic bottom and is 11,2 wide with 50" between the tunnels.
The new predator has the ss bottom and is 11,10" wide and 66" between the tunnels. The ss is the best handeling in real rough water- supposedly as good as a 46'.The ss bottom "breaks loose" at 60 mph and you can feel the boat accelerate very quickly compared to the classic bottomed boats that " break loose" at 100 mph and above. At WOT ,the one with the most horsepower will be the fastest bottom as not very much of the bottom will be pushing water and they will be both be freed up.

Peter will build you whatever combo you can come up with!! No matter what one you go with they will all put big smiles on you. To me theres no substituting for size or HP. The 46 is the best riding in rough water hands down. Comparing a 40 to a 46 is like comparing a 36 to a 40 and there is no comparison. I have been in some big water and wished we were riding in one of 46s..The 46 is a beast!!! :Score-101010:
