If you have TB IV ignition, the rev limiter is a separate part and can't be changed. If its a TB V, then I think you can have the limiter in the ECM changed.

I believe he is going with an MSD amplifier with the rev limiter chip. He should be able to change it in 500rpm increments.

Thunderstruck, What props are you running?

30" Lab finished B1s. However, my 500 HPs are now 600 HPs with AFR heads/custom cams but the rotating assblys are stock. Little higher spring pressure than stock. Using Morel lifters, Ferea valves and Manley-Nextech springs.

My distributors are stock. I went with the Crane HI6M boxes because they are compatible with hall effect trigger sensors that are on the stock distributors. Don't you have to run a mag trigger with the MSD boxes? Running 36 deg total timing with the aluminum heads, 9.6:1 compression (93 Octane for insurance against preignition/detonation).

I ran my tbolt 4 ignition with the msd 6al boxes. I did this for the rev limiter feature primarily as tbolt 4 don't have a rev limiter.

Correct, I have the whole MSD set-up, distributor, coil and amplifier.

In that case, you could easily bump the MSD rev limiter up to 5500rpms.
